Drug shortages have been a trend in recent years and it seems to be getting worse this year. Recent media coverage shows Valerie Jensen speaking out about the recent drug shortages.
A flurry of articles from mainstream media outlet Financial Times, as well as HealthDay, MedScape and FiercePharma have shown up in the past week. In response to accusations that over-regulation was to blame for the shortage, Jensen said more than half of the 2010 shortages were caused by quality issues, including sterility problems and contamination.
