Indiana University’s Kelley School Center for the Business of Life Sciences is holding their next Life Science Series Collaboration series event on September 6, 2013. Pearl’s COO, Gretchen Bowker will be moderating the morning panel discussion.

Pearl is a proud sponsor of the 2013-2014 Series.

Title: Indiana as a Life Sciences Hub in 2023 – What Will it Take?

Session overview:

With Indiana’s impressive life sciences industry stats one might proudly claim that we are one of the leading life sciences clusters: industry’s $50 bn economic impact to the state, employment of 55,500 workers, 3rd rank in worldwide exports, and nearly one third of the $38 bn orthopedic industry headquartered in Warsaw, IN are a few among many achievements.

However, when compared to the hubs like Boston, New York/New Jersey, and the Bay Area, there is a realization there is still lots of work to do in venture capital and NIH funding, government policies, infrastructure, R&D spending and the development of a highly skilled science and engineering workforce.

Join industry executives, economic developers and political leaders at the conference:
